Triton Taktile with Ableton
Just got my Triton Taktile a few days ago, and i'm loving it. I just got one thing that i can't seem to make work the way i want.
So i'm hoping one of you guys could help me out!
For using Taktile with Ableton as a Control Surface, i know i have to set it up like this:
In Taktile: Scene Mode 5: Live.
In Ableton: Control Surface: MackieControl.
I got it working that way and i like all the features but one: the encoders.
I'm looking to customize the 8 encoders so i can control the 8 knobs in the instruments racks (or effect racks) the same way APC40 does, that is automapping the knobs for the active rack.
I found out that using Midi Remote Script you can modify almost everything, so i try to do that, and i was able to make the 8 encoders to behave as the APC40, but by doing this, i lost all the other Control Surface functions that came with Taktile using the MackieControl script (play, rec, mute, solo, arm, etc).
I just want to make that change, the encoders. Is it possible!!??
Thanks in advance!
PS: i'm using Ableton Live 9 64 bit on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.

Same problem
Hi filmstardust,
I just bought the Triton Taktile a few days ago and I'm having the same problem as you.
Did you finally find any solution?
I know how to keep the original control surface.
In "midi sync" > "midi ports", you have "Daw Input/Output" activated, but you need to activate the Input "Keyboard control" and switch on "track" and "remote" commutators. Then switch off the "daw input/output" "remote" commutators.
This way you have the mixer controls when you choose "mixer" in the last page of the screen menus on the controller. And you have controls for whatever you manually map when you choose "control" in the same menu.
I hope you understand what I mean...XD (I don't have the Korg TT here, so it's difficult to explain it...)
I'd like to know how can I configure the Korg to behave as the APC, that is, automapping the knobs for the selected device.
Thanks and greetings!

I am having a more basic problem. I am unable to midimap anything from the Taktile. I am able to play the keyboard and use the pads, but I have no idea how to get the midimaping to work.
I set up the midi settings in Ableton's preferences the way the Taktile manual says, but it doesn't seem to work.

I forgot about the Remote box, that was it! Thanks for the video, greatly appreciated!goony wrote:Try this

this is how mine is setup..
If you are having the same problem as I did, go into Live>Preferences>Midi Sync and make sure the Remote button is on. Under the Midi Port section.quenepas wrote:IM having a similar issue. Would you kindly explain the mp4 or post it again? Thanks!goony wrote:No problem...Sometimes its easy to just see it than try to explain in text lol....
