PA-600

Post by mypupdaisy »

I'm looking to purchase either an MicroArranger, PA-300 or PA-600.

Do any of these have the ability to export the final arrangement to a CD quality WAV or MP3? I don't want to have to go old school and play the final arrangement on the Korg and record on an external digital multi track.

Thanks

I think no one of These can record *.wav or *.mp3 internally.
If you really want this you´ve to go to a higher class Equipment e.g. PA3X.

Iam nearly sure the PA600 can create MP3 internally but not Wav
I know the PA900 can do mp3 internally , check the specs

Brian007 - I looked through the entire 600 online manual and only found one reference about creating MP3's under the song play portion of the docs that states "MPEG Layer-3 format, or MP3 (file extension: *.MP3). This is a compressed audio file, that may be generated on any personal computer, or on the Pa600 itself."

You could be right, but I see no reference in the manual to exporting to a mp3. I only saw it on the 900 and really don't want to spend that much. I see all the Rolands Arrangers at the price range of the 300 and 600 include writing to wav, I'm just surprised the Korgs don't. I would look at the Rolands, but don't like the sounds compared to the Korg.

Also, does anyone know the the sounds on the 600 are any different than those on the 300? The specs of the two look almost identical except for a few extra sounds on the 600.

I own a PA600.

This Keyboard is definetly NOT able to record *.mp3 internally.

You can play *.mp3 - transpose; remove vocal but NOT record.

AND

you´re right - PA900 is able to record *.mp3. (but costs about factor 3)

I have a PA600, this is what I added to my system to record MP3 - works fantastically! ;-)

I ended up buying a Roland FA-06 Workstation. It exports to WAV and I love the loop recording in the sequencer. The sounds are not as nice as the Korg, but I really don't want to pull my work off in finished form. I can then dump the individual tracks into logic and work with it there.

Thanks for the help all.
