2 Questions

Post by My Bad »

Hopefully someone can answer the following:

1. Can i revert back to the 2.1 OS from the 3.02 version, if so how.

2. Is there a simple way to import SF2 files into the Kronos, again how do i accomplish this.

Many thanks

1. I have never reverted to an older OS, but as far as I know you can just load it in the same way as a new one.

2. SF2 files are simply loaded in disk mode as described in the parameter guide, disk mode section (Page Menu commands), page 825f in the guide before OS3.

It's not the best way for sample import, I don't know why , but the volume level of samples is obviously reduced when library is imported through SF2 ,
While using wave/aiff import and programming your patch manually gives the best result.

Volume of samples is not altered. Look up "+12dB" in the manuals for more info.

If you have data in SF2 format, I would strongly recommend that you try that approach first. It works well in most cases, and will be much, much faster than importing as WAV/AIFF and re-programming manually.

SF2 Direct loading

Post by My Bad »

Thanks for the information, I will try the direct SF2 load, re-programming is not my forte.
I reverted back to OS 2.1 with no problems, i can now use the editor again, it does seem strange to be going backwards in terms of technology.

Dan, could you please advise if an Editor supporting Win 8, 64 bit Vst will be offered by Korg, i will be stuck in OS 2.1 limbo until this happens.

Many thanks
