Some help for Kronos and Kurzweil connection !

Post by Pedja »

Hello to all Korg forum users and Marry Christmas and best music and sounds in the New Year.
I have one little problem. I connected Kronos X73 with Kurzweil PC3LE8 (88. keys) Kurzweil is keyboard controller for Kronos. Everything functioning without any configurating from my side. But every time when I changed program on Kurzweil, setlist on my Kronos changed to something like setlist 101, 102, 110...When I powered on (Kronos first and Kurzweil second) something similar happened, first setlist on Kronos change to setlist 102 or 105.... My question is, how I can stop changing setlist on Kronos (when I change program on Kurzweil), and what I have to do that when I powered on Kurzweil, setlist on Kronos stay in first setlist? Thanks for your attention.

Hi!

On the kurzweil, go to the midi menu and set program change to off
Korg Nautilus 61 AT, Kurzweil Forte 7
....as we forgive those who synthesize against us!!

Alternatively, you can prevent the Kronos from reacting to these MIDI messages. In Global mode, select the MIDI tab and sub-tab and look at the top right hand part of the screen. There are options for whether or not the Kronos responds to various change messages. I suspect you want to uncheck the Program Change check box.

Thanks you guys for reply. First I want to wish you Marry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
First to reply to PCFREE, I don't have problems with changing programs on Kurzweil but in Kronos, and it's not clear to me, that I have to set program change to off, on Kurzweil.
HanagoverIan, your suggestion sounds logical, I will try this tonight.
Happy times for holidays.
