New to to this forum, but seemingly have followed the directions to the last detail, yet no avatar image appears. What am I missing here?

I've been following (precisely) the instructions on the profile page, having not exceeded pixel counts, file format or file size requirements. The avatar was created by me and resides on my desktop. Please advise and thanks.
