I liked a lot of sounds! But let's see how they will show at the concert "live".

It's really good to know there is a lot "useable programs" in the KRS07 program banks. I am in total agreement... "fewer abstract"!

Did you run into any issues acquiring the KRS07 after purchase? How does that work? Do you receive an auto email with download link or what?

EXs17 and EXs18 demo versions and authorization codes
As always, you can download and try out all EXs libraries for free. Initially, they will work in demo mode. You'll be able to play, edit, and save Programs, Combis, Wave Sequences, and Songs which use the new samples - but until you purchase an authorization code, their sound will fade out periodically. To purchase an authorization code, go to the online shop at https://shop.korg.com/kronos/SoundLibraries. Once the "New KRONOS Sound Pack" purchased, entering the authorization code into the KRONOS removes the audio limitations of demo mode - no additional downloads required.

KRS-07 is available for download only after purchasing the “New KRONOS Sound Pack.” Pre-purchase demo mode is not available for KRS-07.

Hopefully, I can complete my purchase for the Pack today. After, or at time of purchase, I would expect Korg to give me access to KRS-07.

Page 18 (etc) of the Package manual talks about loading KRS-07

When you check out your purchase it will be in your list of purchases. All you need to do is download KRS07.

I think the new programs/combis / samples are great.

For $249, us curent Kronos owners have the same sounds as the Kronos 2 about 30 days earlier , before the first Kronos 2 has sold.

In terms of sound diff, Kronos 2 owners can d/l EXs 19, Private collection for free.

the new Sound pack is such fun, I am forgetting it took 2 nights to d/l the large file.

Good feedback on the programs/combis. I am definitely buying the package too.

I was just playing the Berlin again today... tweaking and adding some effects to my liking and taste. I must say, from bottom to top end... it really is a fantastic sounding piano. The bottom end is truly amazing sounding with no weird overtones... and from mid to top, just pure elegance. Not gonna cut thru like my Yamaha, but have many songs where I would use it.

Looking forward to hearing these great programs soon,

I agree, the Berlin has character and is meaty, a joy to play. Korg has outdone themselves on this acoustic piano.

Hi Guys Downloaded EX17, took nearly 24 hours. Windows can't extract it says nothing there, file size 3,792,400 mb. Anyone else had this problem? Very frustrating.

same here, macbook, OSX 10.7.3 / Firefox.
...took only 10Hs tough

I am currently between bands right now... taking a long break. I am just a "garage band warrior"... weekend fun (keyboards, drums & guitar). I am currently re-vamping my entire keyboard setup focused around the Kronos... but definitely in no hurry to get back at it. I personally think the Berlin will work just fine on many songs for live performance.

After a 24-hour download (with GetRight) Windows Explorer (XP) couldn't unzip the file, neither could pkunzip, but 7-Zip File Manager didn't have any problem and it installed correctly on the KRONOs...

noticed you have a Mackie mixer.

I don't gig and have Event 8 Studio Monitors at home.

I use to have the Onyx 1220 and noticed it did something to the fantastic detailed Kronos audio.

So I got the Mackie out of the way and my Kronos now direct connects to my studio monitors.

You can also route other boards thru the Kronos, use it as a mixer. FYI

The new piano is great... really sounds more full. I've not even explored the rest of the pack because I can't stop playing that piano.

Some professionals say (I'm inclined to trust them) that HD-1 is obsolete for 10-15 years, as the two oscillator - it is very small and not enough! I think at the present level of development of computer technology - certainly strange to see on board KRONOS 32-bit system with 3 gigabytes of memory! I think KRONOS 2 - is a cosmetic update. I would like more radical renewal of iron. Although thanks to Korg for what he did to move further along the path of progress, albeit slowly.
