output sound level

I got the feeling that the output sound level is a bit low :

The volume button is on 5 and I must use an HIFI amplifier with the
volume also on five in order to get a sound that only begin to be loud...
I don't understand why ???

How about the stock samples? If you play a pattern from the rom bank is it loud enough?
