Kronos wont install OS and need help with Bootable USB
HELP: I was having issues with my Kronos and decided to do a FULL INSTALL. The problem is that even after at least a dozen attempts to do a FULL INSTALL the installation never completes. I bought 4 different DVD Drives and none of them helped. After the last attempt my EXS9 did NOT install. The Kronos boots up fine, the other EXS work but ESX9 doesnt. I can access the Folder and even see that the files exist, however I can not make them LOADm it's as if they were blocked
QUESTION 1:Any suggestions on how to fix it or on how to 'install' original EXs?
QUESTION 2: Was anyone able to successfully make a BOOTABLE USB STICK to format/full install the Kronos? Already downloaded the 2 ISOs from Korg, but ISO to USB programs that I used worked.
Thanks in advance for your help

I am confused by your post. Not clear what exactly is a " full install "Topy wrote:HELP: I was having issues with my Kronos and decided to do a FULL INSTALL. esp since you state your Kronos boots up fine.
Initially, it sounds like you are out of storage space. tell us how much space is used and what is available.

Find and load factory file "EXs9 Jazz Ambience Drums.KSC" in clear mode and then explore if loaded in Global/samples management.
If not or error window appears then you 2nd DVD might be corrupted !
The wise movement in that case , is to burn two ISOs in DVDs and reinstall (maybe in full format mode) !

Thanks guys. I was able to do a Full Format and re-install. At the very end, once again, if said the installation had failed; however, this time it seems that all my EXs are working appropriately
One way or another, do any of you know how to create a bootable USB Stick in case I need to do this again in the future ? Thank you

Concerning to Usb boot stick , you'd rather not to mess with it , since as I remember when I did it before 3 years
sophisticated programming was required to merge executable boot-in of two DVDs in one , therefore
stay on transitional DVD installation.

If you like a better idea that I'm applying since then ... you can clone your Boot SSD (search forum for topics) and if
you create an external (primary) SSD port , then by inserting there a clone SSD , Kronos will boot from there in case
of troubleshooting (always under guarantee void) !

Re: Kronos wont install OS and need help with Bootable USB
The same thing happened to me few months ago when I did a "Full Format & Install". The second time around, I hooked up the secondary cable on my DVD drive to my laptop to gain additional power during this long install process and worked perfectly. If your DVD is equipped secondary cable and you did not have it hooked up during installation, that may have been your problem. At least for me, it worked.Topy wrote:HELP: I was having issues with my Kronos and decided to do a FULL INSTALL.
