The Kronos Sequencer
I've tried and find out elsewhere without success. I hope anyone here will be able to help me.
I'm recording a song on the Kronos sequencer. I understand the basics, and uses several MIDI-tracks. What I don't understand is if I can make several different loops in one track. For example. Loop (or copy) my first drum measure 1 so that the same drum pattern will play from measure 1 to 4, and after that loop the measure 5 pattern so that it will play from 5 to 8.
In other words: Have one drumloop going from measures 1-4 and one loop from 5-8.
And if I thereafter decide so, will I then be able to insert a blank measure in between the two drum loops? So that the first pattern goes from 1-4, then no drums at all on measure 5, and then the second drum loop goes from measure 6-9.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to get across here, and that anyone of you are able to answer my question. It would make me a very happy man!

You can use the Play Intro feature :
Measures 1 to 4 of drums like Hihat only, and when the 5th measure is reached, you can loop it as far as you want, but it won't go back on the 1 to 4 measures. This is located in the Midi track loop tab =)

This is a quick and efficient way. I use it a lot.Roadman wrote:Hi, I simply use the copy measure option in the drop down menu when in track edit, specify to and from and the destination measure. Ie copy measures 1-4 into measure 5.
Think that's what your after?
the track edit feature is great to repeat, change and add tracks.
Re: The Kronos Sequencer
You cannot have more than one loop within one single track. If the loop doesn't start at measure one, you have the choice to let the measures play up to the loop for an intro, as already mentioned by Niarf. And once the track has entered the loop, it'll play until the end of the song, unless you mute it.Bjarne wrote:I'm recording a song on the Kronos sequencer. If you want two loops at different measures within the song, you'll have to use two MIDI tracks for this.
Speaking of the sequencer, does the Kronos have the capability of looping bars that have already been recorded? Seems to me I saw this capability expressed on Yamaha's Motif line, but haven't seen that explicitly demonstrated on the Kronos. I think Yamaha called it "pattern mode recording" or something to that effect.
I still haven't gotten my K yet so please excuse this if it's a dumb question.....
