Thats true, but if you want to use it in keyboard mode and switch sounds just hold the keyboard button and press the pad for the part you want. This switches sounds without leaving keyboard mode. A momentary switch for part mute, now that would be useful.bingkingbo wrote:wt i suggested is momentary hold trigger to select part "without changing the current mode", because everytime we select part with trigger, it will change our mode(keyboard, chord, part mute..etc) to trigger mode, this is stupid and not user friendly, because we have to change it bk to keyboard mode if we just want to switch instrument and play.Frenzies wrote:Select a pad whilst holding down trigger, keyboard or chord will select that part without sounding it. It works with other function buttons too but those 3 ensure you don't accidentally mute or erase something.meggul wrote:6) as suggested by bingkinbo 'momentary hold trigger' to select part without sounding it.

Isn't that how it is already?wasstof wrote:Now THERE'S an Idea!..bingkingbo wrote:another idea for e2, or maybe better in sampler:

I like it, put Me down as +1
Just tested, nevermind, it only sounds kind of like reverse, oops.

you are so right, a momentary switch for "part mute" is very very useful! especially tweaking in live performance.Frenzies wrote: Thats true, but if you want to use it in keyboard mode and switch sounds just hold the keyboard button and press the pad for the part you want. No worries!meggul wrote:Thanks for the tip frenzies.
Another vote for momentary part mute.
And I love the idea of a different headphone mix for live work.

Okay i think i have found really the few updates i would love to see in this machine :
Arppegiator.
Flux mode for step jump and a stable step jump when swing is on.
reverb in the IFX
some good stuff mentioned in this thread
and lastly, a save part state function for the MFX... basically meaning i select the reverb from the MFX and i want to add it to my melodic parts, so i go to each one and set MFX on... then i want to add a looper on drums so i go to drum parts and set MFX on and then everytime i save the MFX saves which parts are on when that effect is on and that way you can set and forget your parts and wether they send to the MFX or not and just go to each effect and play around directly... i think having to re-select each sound and whether it has mfx on or off is a huge waste of time and efficiency and i think that's one of the biggest reasons why it's not really usable.... (or at least not up to its full potential)

maybe it can fix by momentary hold the MFX Send button to check & on/off all the parts instantly, just like volca sample can do like this to on/off reverb for all parts, fast and easy.256K wrote:and lastly, a save part state function for the MFX... basically meaning i select the reverb from the MFX and i want to add it to my melodic parts, so i go to each one and set MFX on... then i want to add a looper on drums so i go to drum parts and set MFX on and then everytime i save the MFX saves which parts are on when that effect is on and that way you can set and forget your parts and wether they send to the MFX or not and just go to each effect and play around directly... i think having to re-select each sound and whether it has mfx on or off is a huge waste of time and efficiency and i think that's one of the biggest reasons why it's not really usable.... Hope korg really think about all our ideas/wishlist, care about wt customer/fans want...
I have three more feature requests to add to my list.SMK wrote:
1. addition of an effects trail like on KP3 (this should solve click issues)
2. a way to copy parts to any pattern, not just with in the same pattern
3. the option toggle pads in jump step mode from latch to momentary
4. a shift command to hit shift+record to activate motion sequence
5. a user sound bank selection. The ability to save a "part" as a "sound" to recall for use.
6. A Global setting to change the Part Erase behavior to 'Instant' or 'Immediate'.
When I play live, I play fast and I don't have the time to wait and hold down a pad so that the part is completely erased. I'd rather that once you are in part erase mode, the second you hit a part pad, the sequencing or notes are gone! Just one "tap" and you're done!
7. A global setting to set The Pitch knob to only select pitches that are in the scale you are in.
I know some of you like the smooth pitch transition (which fully chromatic) but some others like me use the pitch knob for very little except to change the pitch. This feature would created a staccato effect but at least it would settle in to a note that is with in a scale that is being used.
8. In Part Utility a setting to select the note / pitch of a part, in the case of using that part as drum part. This would get defeated the second the part sound is recorded via keyboard or Kasossilator mode. But if you set a sound to a part and want to use it as part of the beat there should be a way to set a desired pitch or note. I thought that Step Edit would be good for this but I was wrong. Step Edit is with out a doubt the most useless feature in the E2.

but the release knob is often 'more' than the attack? That is typical of most ADSR type settings where you want some tail on your sound.bingkingbo wrote:another idea for e2, or maybe better in sampler:

messing with standard attack and release settings would limit their normal use.
I agree that have reverse wouldbe useful, just not clear on the proposed implementation.
Small request: MIDI local on/off, midi thru

1. Holding Trigger or Sequencer key plus a part button selects that part like it does in Keyboard and Chords (THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT FOR CONSISTENCY)
2. Momentary Mute Mode (hold mute button to light all active parts, press a button to unlight and mute that part, releasing the mute button takes me back to whatever mode I was in
3. Momentary Erase (as above but with a double tap of a part completely erasing the part without having to wait with my finger on the trigger for a full four bars)
4. Fixing the arps/ odd stepper / doubler / reverse stepper etc so that they stay in time even when moving your finger around on the pad during performance...the electribe needs to keep track of where the pattern SHOULD be so that when you stop using the effect, it is still correctly in the place it would have been without the effect manipulation.
5. Half Resolution Tempo Per Part ( gets around any hardware limitations of implementing 8 bar patterns at the trade of less resolution ) needs to be PER PART to that drums can still be 16ths whilst chords are 8ths or even 4ths to allow for super long chord progressions).
Also ...as a final new option for consideration...if would be great if you could have a trigger mode for melodic parts which, when the sequencer is STOPPED, would cycle through the programed steps with each hit...would be a whole new instrument for finger drummers.
