Hi.

Ok, this is a really simple to do.
Basically all you need to do is either use a Sample based drum loop, or re-sample your midi based loop into a sample based loop.

Triton Classic users will need to do this by recording the output of their Triton into something like a PC. Triton Studio users can press a few buttons and hey presto. You have your midi based loop sitting in Sampling MODE as sample data.

Ok, moving on.
All you need to is loop the drum loop. The effect depends on the loop being incorrect but placed in the right location. So, randomly select a start point for your sample. Now set the Start loop point to exactly the same value as the Start point of the sample. Finally, place the End Loop point extremely tight beside the Start Loop point and press a key.

Now you should hear that effect your looking for. All you need to do now is adjust the end loop point until you have the effect sounding exactly like you want. You can also adjust all the other settings to loop a different part of the wave file for different sounding effects.

As always, the only limitation is your imagination. So mess around with time stretching, pitch shifting, and processing.

For example….
Take a listen to this. I programmed up a loop on the Triton Studio, resampled it, and applied the loop technique I explained above. I then converted my Multi Sound into a Program, and used that program in SEQ mode to trigger all the different sections of the loop I wanted to hear using Step Record.

285kb download
http://www.irishacts.com/support/tutori ... >Sharp.
So basically you're just making an incredibly short loop. Thanks for clearing that up, and for the demo too. You might as well go ahead and stick this right in the Classic Threads section.....
