Pa3x expression pedal control question

Post by e1252w »

I cannot get my expression pedal to control the style & accompaniment, it only controls the right hand sounds?

Not sure why you would want to use the expression pedal to adjust overall volume. But if there was a way, I have not found it. You can use the master volume slider to do what you want.

On the other hand, you can assign the balance control slider to adjust only the volume of the Style/Accompaniment rather than the the balance between voices and styles' volumes to lower or raise their volume independently of the master volume. It's only a work around but achieves the same thing albeit hand operated rather than your foot.

Personally, I think the default behaviours are correct. I generally prefer my style volumes to be constant and use an expression pedal to as intended, to provide "expression" to the voices through volume raising and lowering. To me that is more natural and realistic. Just saying...

Maybe someone else has found a way to do what you want...
