I've been using Garage Band to record my sequences and adding vocals or woodwinds to them before I turn them into MP3 files. Double 1/4" phono from audio out to mini-stereo audio in on my old MacBook and from there to Garage Band.
But on this new MBPro there is no mini-stereo audio input.
What will be the best way to get .sng files to Garage Band now? I probably have to use the USB port on the MBPro, right?
Glad to see TEX forum is still going strong.

I can send midi signals from the USB B port to the MBPro which can record them. It produces vaguely recognizable sounds as long as what I send is simple data from 1 track only. Plus it is midi, just signals telling the chosen instrument in Garage Band what to play. Right? Not what I need, that's for sure.
I do have a Tascam US 122 L interface but it is not taking the LR audio output from the TEx and turning it into something the new GB can use.
Do you have a name for an interface you know will be able to do that?
It used to be so simple and good.
