Electribe 2 hangs and crashes on 1.05

Post by username123 »

hi there, just got my new electribe. it came with version 1.05 installed.

unfortunately it hangs and crashes all the time. it's enough for me to rotate the pattern dial quickly and boooom, it hangs. only unplugging the power resolves this. :-(

what can i do? should i downgrade to 1.03?

I would take note of what you're doing when it crashes. Is it only when scrolling through patterns?

I had crashes prior to 1.03, now I'm stable. Then again, I deleted the factory patterns when I upgraded - maybe there's something about flipping through them fast that causes an error. Are you playing with the factory stuff?

You could downgrade. But until there's a public firmware update you'd be stuck on a lower version that it was shipped with, and who knows why it shipped with a beta version - maybe to fix something we're not aware of. 1.05 is not on Korg's support page.

it hangs in random places (editing filter, changing eq, etc.) but just by scrolling through the patterns i can reproduce the bug pretty regularly.

anyone? please? is it just my machine or do you all live with this? any solutions or just i send it back?

I would do a DATA UTILITY > FACTORY RESET, and if it still crashes out, send it back.
Most likely a hardware problem. :?

When you delete the factory patterns do you get more memory?
