Check the Peruvian set here:
https://shop.korg.com/pa

There are some amazingly good sound samples in this set.
Especially some of the flutes (Quenacho Andino, Malta Zamponia) and Charango FX are very, very high quality to my ears.
The Grand Piano also sounds very nice (bright and clear).

Great job, compliments to the people who created this!
Keep up the good work!

Yes it is.

It has the same sample name 'Grand Piano', but it sounds quite different than the Korg factory version.
I think it sounds quite good for all kinds of music, not only Peruvian music.

Is there a demo of the piano anywhere?

The only piano demo I heard was for some DX7 type piano at the Peruvian set's Soundcloud demos. But yes, the pan pipes and other Peruvian flute samples were quite well done.

Thanks Franz for pointing out this free set - always interesting to see whats available.
While this set might have some interesting sounds my thoughts on the Grand Piano and Bright Piano are that they are not really very good. These pianos don't contain any new samples - they are remixes of the factory Acoustic Piano samples. The Bright Piano is a single oscillator mono piano and has no dynamics/expression from soft to hard playing. The Grand is stereo and also uses the built in factory Acoustic samples but again has no dynamics. The decay on both is artificial sounding. The brightness of the sound is however nice and would cut through a mix nicely.
If you are looking for better piano sounds you should try Antony Sharmann's sampled Steinway - full set available here:

Hi Reuben,

Thanks for your thoughts on this.
I actually was most impressed with the flutes in the set and the Charango sound.

I also like the Grand Piano sound (not the Bright one) in it for certain genres of music; it cuts throught the mix very well.

Of course, the Steinway set you mention is from a different league. I use it very often, all those piano sounds are superb programmed / engineered.
Even better than Korg's factory settings IMHO.

But it's nice to have the possibility to switch / experiment with different sounds for different songs / genres.
