FLOATING TONE KORG KRONOS X. What is the problem?
Hi.
I own Korg KRONOS X 73 and OS 2.1.2 with FACTORY_V2 .
On the all modes I have a floating tone +12 (one tone higher).
It occurs randomly (or immediately after switching on , or during working...)
If I've moved and back joystick Y+ , the sound returns in normal tone.
And so repeatedly...
The joystick visually in good condition.
Someone has a ready solution to this problem?
Thanks everybody.

You will have to take it to an authorized center by Korg and let them check the Pitch-bend Joystick. I think you will need to replace the JS.

I don't know what is this "floating tone" sound you describe. Can it be recorded? It doesn't sound like a pitch-bend JS issue. Are you talking about the Vector JS? In any case, if you are talking about some sound that is sounding even when you are not playing the Kronos, that's not a pitch bend issue... Does it happen on specific Combis or Programs?
Hi, Stephen.
This mainly occurs when I use the Set List. In my songs I use several solo tracks. When I switch tracks from panel , the sound of the selected track may increases by about one tone. But in this time the song played and remained in a normal tone.
If I just move the joystick (not vector joystick) in the direction Y+, the solo track sound returns to the tone of the song.
If I repeat a song, this increase may not occurs or occurs later.
If the same song I'm playing in Sequencer mode, this does not happen.
I have myself broke down. While I have no solution.

Ah, I think I understand - it's somewhat of a language or terminology issue. I didn't understand your use of "floating tone". But you mean the pitch of the track, when you are playing it, is one semitone (or two) above normal pitch. (Not +12, as you originally said, which would be an octave.)
So, advice from ak is correct. This sounds like a joystick malfunction issue. I'm sorry, but may need service.
