Electribe 2 + ESX 1
Hi everyone!
I am totally new to this. I got my E2 and my friend brought his ESX1 but we dont know how to sync them together. Should we use the sync in/out on the E2 or should it be connected via MIDI? Or should it be via Audio in?
Thanks for any help!

In the absence of analogue sync inputs / outputs on the ESX1 you need to rely on MIDI for your syncing needs.
HOWEVER
You could send a click track out of one of the assignable audio outputs on the ESX1 to the sync in on the E2.

Hi, thanks a lot!
Does it matter if the cable is mono or stereo?
Could it be one like this http://www.amazon.com/kenable-3-5mm-Ste ... B003OSNVC4 ?

Would those not serve the same function as the adapter cables the box shipped with? I tried to find a place online to buy the same thing but can't seem to find anything, what he linked is the closest I've seen.Lenzo wrote:Hugo wrote:Connect one midi cable from the E2's midi out port to the ESX's midi in port, and another midi cable from the E2's midi in port to the ESX's midi out port. That's an audio cable, search for midi cablescicinka wrote:Hi, thanks a lot!

Hi! So in the end I bought this cable http://www.amazon.es/dp/B000I2JUTW/ref= ... 71_TE_dp_1 connected it together with the one that came with the electribe but still it doesnt sync.
I have it midi IN to E2 and midi out to ESX1, E2 is set to int.clock and ESX to ext., same midi channel. The red led doesnt flash on the ESX.
Can anyone help?
Thanks a lot

The machine with the Midi cable plugged into IN needs to be using clock EXT. Because they're accepting an external clock. The one with OUT needs to be INT as it is using its internal clock.
