so, looking at videos and the parameter guide I seem to be missing something.
If I (when I finally get my E2s) time slice a sample.. I can play the slices as a sequence but if i want access to the individual slices they have to be allocated to a part per slice?
Ideally i'd like to slice a sample then those slices be mapped to individual notes in the keyboard mode.. no?
Holla back E2s owners please.
I'm not normally negative as I love my E2 but this feature could make or break my choice to purchase.

If I remember right...
the esx1 was the same way.. you could play them in time on the keyboard but I dont think you could resquence them from the slice mode.. The slices were saved individually and and you built the pattern from those samples... I could be wrong.. I only used the slicer a few times but that is what I remember..
I remember the keyboard section being primitive and basically just pitching up and down..
As a previous owner of an esx it makes sense to me why the timeslice/keyboard/sample handling would not work the way you were expecting/suspecting..

This is a big one for me as well and unless I'm not seeing how to do it, you can't. What's weird is you can play the slices all together by hand in any order when you are doing the slice and setting the threshold, but not in the part. It either plays the sample linearly with the ability to set mutes in the seq or pitches the first slice in keyboard mode. Other wise you have to dedicate whole parts to each slice to be able to play and sequence them out of order. This is disappointing as it should be a pretty standard feature. They could just have a setting in menu to switch keyboard from pitch to slice trigger. I don't think this would take any more power since it can play all the slices in one part already.
Between the brief manual and the crazy menus this box feels like mystery sometimes. I'm hoping I can find a trick somewhere to do it. It feels like a machine from the 90's that Korg misplaced and forgot to release and they just recently found it. But in a weirdly cool way.

Playing the slices
I hope this gets added in an update.
It does seem like it's almost there. Like you said just have an option to change pitch to slice.
