Electribe sampler won't boot or power off
Won't boot or shutdown with or without a card installed. Anyone know of any shift/write/play/rec etc boot modes? Or where to find a service manual?
Thanks
Thanks

Such a scary post to read on the last day of my es2's return policy... Best of luck, as of yet the documentation from korg is minimal at best. If you have the option, swap for a new one wherever you bought it, or sent it back as a faulty unit? I know it's probly the first thing you checked, but does it work with batteries? I've bought a ton of used gear where this is the case (no power with adaptor but still boots off battery)....

Maybe check that the card doesn't have anything else but the OS on it? Doubt it's a corrupt file though seeing as it malfunctions with no card as well... Contact your dealer to let them know the problem exists, they have more say with korg than anyone. Deff contact korg. I really hope this problem gets solved for you. Preface your message to korg with a headline stating that you have already contacted your supplier to no avail. (but expect the typical robot treatment from korg). Best of luck...
I have just registered to let you know: I have had the same issue.
Neither me or the guys from the music store were able to solve this.
I was also searching for solutions or key combos for days. No luck.
In the end I replaced the unit and the new one works like a charm.
I am a bit sad anyway because the broken unit has had perfect pads, the new and working one has the problem with the pads below case level - which is being discussed on this forum.
You should insist on a replacement.
Good luck to you!

And another bug/issue pops up. Sucks you're now stuck with pads that look like they've been drummed on for decades. Even the cheapest MPC controller has the pads raised nicely. I wouldn't have accepted the other unit and would've asked for one that has no flaws; no hiss/noise on the headphone out (while on battery), no sunken pads, and no "im not gonna do anything anymore" crashes.Morn wrote:In the end I replaced the unit and the new one works like a charm.

It is time for a total recall Korg.
