Q: How to save a few notes in SEQ and play it with combi?
I have made a combi and I copied it to SEQ. After that I recorded a short midi track, because I need to play that while I'm playing. I works, just need to hit the start button. But, I havent find a way the save it. I can copy it to the setlist and save that, but when I restart my Kronos, it's all gone.
How can I save it just like combis and then copy it to setlist? Thank You for the answers!

Re:
Yes, the SEQ is saved to disk now, but I ment that how can I save it with combi together, so I can play the combi and while playing just hit the start button and the seq will be played?

Re:
I didn't get it, sorry...
Generally. It seems to be a problem if one wants to play anything prerecorded files while playing live this keyboard. The only way I have managed to fix this problem is to use external MP3 player. It would be so nice if you could just press one button on the piano while you are busy to do something else and get some extra sounds that way.
Am I wrong with this, that external device is the only way?

Well actually if you've saved the sequence based on the combi, and you set your track to channel 1 it should play back the combi since the midi tracks on the combi are probably set to the same channel. (look into tracks then parameters tab). Then hit the start button and the rest of the sequence will play.
If you don't want to hear what was recorded on the combi's midi tracks you could either erase the data on those tracks or maybe change the midi track designation in the aforementioned parameters (which would take someone else's expertise, since I never play out)

The problem you are describing is caused because you recorded 16 channels of midi information (the combi) into the sixteen midi channels of the sequencer. You can play them back, but you don't have any "extra" channels to play live. What you could do is record the original performance as stereo audio, in the sequencer AUDIO tracks, thereby leaving all midi channels free to play over live.
You do have to save the sequencer data to disk afterwards as an SNG file, and load it agajn after restarting your Kronos. The PCG isn't necessary although it could be useful to recall the state of your programs and combinations at the time you recorded the song.

Here is another workaround:
Play your short melody line and record it with the sampler (the process is called resampling). Then make a program out of this sample, and assign a key you like that will trigger the playback of that sample. Add this program to the combi you will use in your live gig. When you want to play the melpdy just press the assigned key. Also, you can assign multiple keys for multiple melodies this way.
Hope this helps.
