Which multipedal unit for the Kronos ?

Post by Francois »

Today, I tried a Roland RPU-3, but, unfortunately, it doesn't work with the Kronos. And I am not talking about a simple inversion of the polarity in Global. The problem seems to be that the plugs do not work independently.

I have used a Studiologic VFP-2/10 successfully, although there is some setup to be done first.

If you are using a 2 or 3 pedal unit, please share with us the model you are using in this thread. Thanks.

I use a Kawai F-20 dual pedal. This was intended for an electronic piano so resembles a grand piano pedal set. (There is also a three pedal version). This has a reverse half damper but there is a problem with that. So I have a small box which acts as a cable splitter as the cable has a single TRS plug. It also contains a variable control which overcomes the problem and enables me to set the half damper point to any point in the pedal travel. The other pedal is just a normal switch. You could also consider a Behringer FCB1010 which has a multitude of pedals.

Thanks. I only had 2/3 pedal units in mind, not programmable pedal boards like the FCB, MFC...

Keep them coming!

Not a proper continuous sustain pedal on those, IIRC.

Thank you. Okey, does anybody know of a double/trippel pedal unit that acutally works?

A great two pedal unit for Kronos

Post by Marc Leeds »

I live on Jeju Island in South Korea and brought my Kronos X 88 here from Las Vegas along with my Kurzweil PC3K8. Just for grins I plugged the Kurzweil Pedal (Model KFP-2M) which is made in Italy (I purchased it off of eBay for $42.00) into the Kronos-X 88 and it works (plug & play) perfectly without having to change anything. It's a two pedal unit, but hey it's better than one!

I've used it for two years without any issues on a daily basis.
