Mini Kaoss Pad 2 update - error file not found

Hello, I'm attempting to update my Mini Kaoss Pad 2 (shipped with V 1.03), and receive the message 'Error File Not Found' when attempting to update in the utility menu.

The file minikp2.bin is under the correct folder [SYSTEM] under the [MINIKP2] folder on a micro SD card formatted by the pad, and the card check says OK.

Do I need a 1.03 to 1.0x firmware update .bin first, and if so where can one be found?

The only .bin updates I can find online are for 1.06 > 1.08 or 1.08 > 1.10

Normally should/can update straight to latest fw.
Try first updating to 1.06 then, can you save/load kp2 files to test if it can read files? "File Not Found" means it can't read file.

Updating the software
1. Prepare a memory card that has been formatted by mini kaoss pad 2.
2. Insert the memory card into your card reader, and connect it to your computer.
3. Extract minikaosspad2_xxxx.zip.
4. Copy “MINIKP2.BIN” into the [SYSTEM] folder under the [MINIKP2] folder on the
memory card.
5. Insert the memory card containing the new system file into your mini kaoss pad 2, and turn
on the power.
6. Select “SOFTWARE UPDATE” from the Utility menu. Tap YES using the VALUE slider

Maybe MINIKP2.BIN must be in caps!
Or redownload the updates, was maybe corrupted.

Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it, but I've checked and the filename is caps already, and I've also tried two different updates and both had the same message.
RE your suggestion to upgrade to V1.06 first, any idea where I can find that file online?

No, I thought you have The only .bin updates I can find online are for 1.06 > 1.08 or 1.08 > 1.10

1.10 should work, you sure yours not mini kp2s ?

Else use different microSD card and/or formatted with special SD formatter, ASK KORG SUPPORT!

AGAIN 'Error File Not Found' means can't find/read any (update) file!
CAN it save/read Other minikp2 types files.

Thanks for the suggestions, I've tried all these without success, including:
A different micro SD card.
Testing the SD card is readable by playing an .mp3 file saved in the SAMPLE sub-folder.

I genuinely believe you actually need to have the firmware file for update 'from' the version you currently have installed (in my case 1.03), and as I can't find that next firmware update online, no success

I'll lodge with KORG support now as suggested, but had hoped the forum might help in the first instance.

you got a mini kp 2s and yes i didn't find the 1.03 version online

Thanks for clarifying, and apologies RE this thread due to my confusion. Mine is a MiniKP2S (S for sample) for which the V1.03 is the only firmware (Korg support have confirmed). Apologies again for my confusion.
