OK, I stand corrected on that than. I thought it remembers the OTS not as part of the Style rather than as a part of the Registration (since that's how it is on my 9000Pro), but strangely enough, it seems like that's not the case with T5 anymore ?! In this case I suppose they've increased the max. number of Registrations Banks in T5, since in my old 9000Pro there's only 32 Banks with 8 numbers each, which is good enough for 'only' 256 possible song positions, not that it is absolutely unsufficient for the majority of the people, but it wasn't enough for my needs. I wish if I could have the luxury to have 8 dedicated Registration/STS buttons for each song on my PA900, but with the ease of use from the Yamaha. Unfortunately that commodity alone ain't enough to convince me to switch back from Korg to any Tyros model, even though there is so many things that I like in Yamaha in general.

I'll just say that I deliberately refused to buy any Tyros model for so many years, even though I've always wanned one, and also had so many reasons for not buying it, but that's gonna be off topic here, plus it is a sensitive subject for me and I'm getting very passionate about it, so I better stop here.

Thanks anyway for clarifying this to me !

Cheers :)

Ah, I see. On the T5 you can save registrations to the HD and the only limits IIRC is 500 entries per folder so effectively to unlimited.

So can Korg. As with Yamaha, you can select the mode with a button push. On PA900, the power on setup remembers the setting. On PA3x, it does not.
Really? I never knew that. My Pa is gone now but how was that done in case I get another one?

Repeatedly press the STS MODE or STYLE TO KBD SET button to make its indicator flash. When choosing a Variation, the corresponding STS or Keyboard Set is selected.

- can you sync audio pads to the tempo of a style..
- some of the best T5 midi pads use megavoices, can you have guitarmode active in a korg pad?
- can you loop, single shot, restart every pad on the fly?
- Pads based on Audio Grooves are not transposed (they are mainly conceived as percussive patterns). You can however change their Tempo.
- Pads are always syncronized to the Style or Song's Tempo.
- You can base Pads on Guitar Mode tracks.
- Each individual Pad can be separately triggered or stopped. They can play in sync and stop all at once. Some of the Pads are looping, some others are single-shot.
