Electribe 2 Question

Post by Dave Wiz »

I saw a guy on Youtube playing his VL-Tone through an older Electribe, (the tube one) and using the effects on it to shape the sound.
I have an E2 and I tried the same thing and I can get sound to play through it but I can't add any of the effects from the Electribe.
What am I doing wrong?

Here's what you're doing wrong: Using a forum as a way to avoid reading the manual.

Quit being a jerk, the manual sucks even if you do read it. The very last oscillator selection is for external audio, you need to have a part with that selected. Edit is gain, and you need to have a note with a gate value of 'Tie' in every step.

Telling people to read the manual might get old someday. Today is not that day.

The forum should be for deeper exploration, bigger questions, sharing tips and such.

Everyone beats up on the manual. For all the abuse it takes, it explains, in plain English, how to route audio to the effects.

Also says how to export all samples, but every week someone registers for the forum just to ask how.

You wanna be on lazy guy duty, great! Lazy guys will be thrilled to have their easy homework done for free. Their total posts will forever be under 10, and they won't ever stop asking the same questions.

Cheers Ted and thanks for the warm welcome.

Avoiding reading the manual?

I posted because despite several readings the manual does not explain in plain English, how to route audio to the effects.

Within the 4 minutes between my post and your reply you had made assumtions about me that were incorrect and based on some inner grievance regarding people who ask perfectly reasonable questions in a user forum.

AxeBreaker... Thanks I had the audio and part sorted. It was the TIE that lost me. It's working fine now.
