Calling up STS through midi

Post by Rudders »

Hi all
I want to call up STS from a midi file.
I have set channel 16 to control in the default midi preset.
If i enter pc64 into the channel on the sequencer list view i get a sound change.
I have also tried calling up a style using
cc 0 0
cc32 14
pc 11
this doesnt work and when i save the song and then reload i get different figures.
I am obviously doing something wrong
any advice would be appreciated
Sorry forgot to say it's for pa300

I went looking for the page in the manual but I couldn't find it.

There's a page that details what things can be done with midi. It uses program changes. I was using it to change variations in my sequence.

I'll keep looking...

But maybe someone will post that reference again.

Thank You, thank you very much.

Does it have the same page in the PA300 manual?

I was using the key editor in Studio One, I added a program change lane and had it send out 85, then 87 etc. to change variations at certain times.

That was on ch 5 that I set to control in the global midi input settings.

Thanks for all the advice.
The problem I have is that I don't seem to be able to create a control channel.
I have set channel 16 midi in to control in the default preset but in sequencer mode channel 16 seems to be an ordinary channel.
I am an ex semi pro organist and still love playing. Recently bought the pa700 and like arranging midi backing files for middle of the road music.
