Show of hands for owners of Kromes without issues.

The Krome is not my favorite keyboard, but it is very reliable. It has travel on airplanes across the US as checked baggage. It works as advertised. I've recommended to some people. I typically pair it up with the FA-06 along with a KingKorg for live performance, as it sounds great, plays fine, and is light weight.
But, I always keep the the OS updated, keybed clean, I dust it routinely. I carry it around in a hard case and nobody handles my keyboards if I can help it. I make visitors in my studio wash their hands, before laying a hand.

ive had mine for about 3 years now. only issues have been caused by my kids pouring s**t on the keybed....
was easy enough to take apart and repair though.
the hardest part of re-assembling is that you must clean the carbon contacts very well to maintain velocity curve.
machine holds up to a lot of abuse, and is simple to service.

Crackling sound on heavy sustain
I have noticed by new Krome has a cracking of sound on pianos using heavy sustain. It could be either by using a sustain pedal or placing the release knob near full, the same thing happens. Im not used to hearing such a thing on a synth..Has anyone noticed this happening on there keys? I eliminated a cabling problem or a amplifier outside the keys. It does not happen when I plug into the head phone jack, and it cant be bad outputs because other sounds work fine.
If you are experiencing crackling, the issue resides between the flash memory and the board which it is attached to.
Crackling can be present if the buffer can not keep up with the rate of playback. Try first to re-initialize your keyboards pcm data.
If this does not work, you may want to replace first the internal flash memory with a class 10 module.

Failing and getting worse
Hi. Sadly I have the dropped note problem with my 66 note Krome. It started with the piano. I blamed my pedal at first because it seemed to be when trying to hold a chord. That didn't actually make sense since other notes were fine, but I changed my pedal for an official Korg one, but the problem persisted.
That's when I visited the forums and noted that quite a few people have experienced the same thing.
I appreciate that like most faults in devices that not everyone experiences them, but it seems like there are too many out there who have. I am now beginning to experience missing notes with other sounds like organs and strings.
I really like Korg keyboards and have been a faithful user since the M1, but now I'm not so sure. I can't afford to be without it to have it fixed, we're just too busy, but I don't want to buy a second one as a spare in case the same problems arise.
Does anyone know of any way of curing this issue without having to send it back?
