Extrenal Control- Updating position via midi in

Post by keyboardcook »

Please excuse if this is been approached before. Search is not giving me what I need.

I have the External Control on a Patch or Combi to send a CC: say Channel 1, CC 0 from Slider 1.

Works fine. Message is sent.

What I am trying to find out though:
If I adjust that parameter on the destination machine, is there a way for the Kronos to update the position on the EXT Control Surface. Basically keep up with the external unit. Update the position of SLider 1.

At a minimum, there needs to be two-way MIDI communication. Try connecting the MIDI out of your device to the MIDI in of the Kronos and see if that works.

The manual does seem to suggest from the drawing on page 771 of the Parameter Guide that the on screen parameters may get updated as you're expecting.

Could you confirm that its page 771 of the "KRONOS_Param_Guide_E5.pdf" file being referred to here? Parameter Guide versions E8 and E9 have a different page 771, as does version E2.
