Kronos update v3.0.3a ?
The release date for the V3.0.3 update is showing as 2015.12.25. The Kronos system update file is slightly different in size from the original v3.0.3 updater released back in July.
The files that are different are:
KRONOS_Update_3_0_3\install.info
KRONOS_Update_3_0_3\KRONOS_Update_3_0_3.csum
KRONOS_Update_3_0_3\KRONOS_Update_3_0_3.tar.gz\mnt\sbin\loadmod.ko
Does anyone know if this update differs significantly from the earlier one i.e should this be v3.0.3a? The file with the largest number of differences is loadmod.ko, the new one being over twice the size of the original. Files with this extension are generally Linux kernel module files, so there may be important changes to kernel level functionality.

That is curious. Did the install notes address anything new or different ?voip wrote:The release date for the V3.0.3 update is showing as 2015.12.25. The Kronos system update file is slightly different in size from the original v3.0.3 updater released back in July.

If you download the file 3.0.3, it has a "New Features" pdf in the Manuals section of the Download. There will be a new editor for download from Korg, some changes for transposition from the set list, and Auto Remapping for Kronos and Kronos X.
I'll wait to update my X until I hear the "official" news but this sounds pretty exciting. Looks like once again Korg has taken care of it's Kronos owners.

There's no difference in any documentation - exactly the same as the July 3.0.3 releaseGregC wrote: That is curious. Did the install notes address anything new or different ?

All this was available in the previous 3.0.3 release in July, including the V3 editor - The confusion is that another (but slightly larger) 3.0.3 was released on 25/12/15 with no explanation from Korg.mikeyd wrote:If you download the file 3.0.3, it has a "New Features" pdf in the Manuals section of the Download. I'd hoped it was a Christmas prezzie from Korg, that included the Mono/Poly EXi... Nope!

Ya I was wondering about that because it didn't sound that new. My excitement is if they had upgraded the Editor people have been requesting forever and the date of 12/25 being a new update of sorts. Maybe it's still in process for release. Wouldn't be the first time someone posted something prematurely, Interesting.
Hey Frank, It's been a couple months since I updated mine, I also had trouble at first working through the procedure. I think this link will help you, even though it's a walk-through of the 2.0 version. Watch what is highlighted at :16. DO A BACK UP FIRST!!
