Korg Nano Kontrol 2 sends midi when not touching control

Post by korgerator »

Hi everyone!

I've used the NanoKontrol 2 for over a year and not noticed any problem but the last few months I noticed a midi input light blinking all the time. I checked with a logger and saw that sometimes (very often on a daily basis) the NK2 sends midi input messages even though I don't even touch the controls.

It seems like a bug.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Cheers!

Is there any consistency in the MIDI messages seen?

Has the unit been kept in cold and potentially damp conditions?

It may be worth working the pots and sliders backwards and forwards several times in case they have become "noisy" through lack of use.
