petera25 are you trolling?
If so that seemed to work.

If not..
Sometimes I would like some more intricate programming of beats, but the disco "peasoup" is a classic.(No need to reference world war2).

Popular thread though.

I promise im not trolling. I'v researched this a lot and thought I would see if anyone else felt the same way.

Thought this would be an interesting place to bring it up since I use the Korg electribe sampler 2.

Doesn't matter what you call it. Your either accenting on the down or the up.

If you are interested in getting 'deeper' into rhythm I humbly suggest you get a couple of drum method books for different styles. It's super easy to step sequence 16th note funk drum parts that might give you more satisfaction.
Also, check out Latin rhythms in general.

Something I really like about 4 on the floor rhythm, is that the "1" gets de-emphasized and as a listener, you almost forget where the 1 even is. This creates a feeling of being really linear without resorting to seemingly random rhythms. For something like the electribe 2, which is in 4 bar loops, it helps to create a sense of continuity. For example, Plastikman's "Sheet 1" or "Consumed" really uses this technique well. Every beat style has advantages and disadvantages. Time and a place for everything!! I still love dn'b breaks, or idm glitch beats or whatever, but the good ol' 4/4 is still amazing when used right! Who doesn't love a 909?!?!

This was fresh, different and very, very cool. Nice one!!
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

'Hint'

That's about as blatant an orbital 'homage' as 95% of what I make. 😆

Loving the bit of Beethoviana you've got going on at the end. Always gives me a weird shiver that tune.

Stupid topic, and AxeBreaker nailed exactly why in his post. Sure it's good to change it up, but what are you buying the Electribes for if you're not gonna make ANY 4/4 beats? Do your sets consist of donning a pair of thick-rimmed glasses and poking around inside a dead electronic organ with alligator clips looking for patch points? Give me a break. If you're making music for people to dance to, then you're gonna use some form of regular rhythms: people who are actually dancing will look stupid if you pull the rug out from under them with spastic rhythms, and that's dance floor poison.

So many People makes 4 on the floor beats, and in the end it all sound quit the same.

To say, that you need to play 4 on the floor in A set wth an electribe, is the same as saying, you need to play rock Music With your guitar.

It's good for the development of Electronic Music scene, to Think out of the box and make somerhing different.

The dancefloors needs new kinds of Electronic Music.
If you can't move your Body to anything else than 4 on the floor, try to listen to other kind of genres like drum'n bass, hiphop and jazz. It's good to Explore New Music.

And most important, get personal with your Music. Make what comes to your mind. The most famoures musicans didn't Got famoures, for making what others created.

Agreeing with Sebberdii.
My favorite music is stuff that sounds like nothing I've heard before ,but still works as good music.

The OP is generally just trying to wind people up. And saying you hear techno at the mall is daft... what mall are you going to?
What i hear is the ubiquitus EDM genre - avicci, calvin harris... etc etc. That;s not techno.

Techno is an attitude. It can be hard and fast and crazy, or subdued. This is one of my favourite techno tracks ever#
