Help anybody,
I have just bought the Korg Pad Kontrol but unfortunately neither the 'knob assign 1' nor the 'knob assign 2' button seem to be working the way the manual says they should, i.e. press 'knob assign 1' followed by one of pads 09-16 to quickly assign a function to knob 1 such as pan, pitchbend, resonance.
But I can assign a function to knob 1 and knob 2 using the Pad Kontrol Editor software. Then the function of the knobs can be assigned.
Is my unit defective or is it just me being stupid ? The manual seems very clear. I don't understand.
I am using Logic Pro X and a Mac Book Pro. The annoying thing is I ordered my Pad Kontrol unit new from Japan via E-bay so I cannot get it serviced under guarantee in the U.K. where I live. Please can anyone help ?

Perhaps the knob isn't sending anything because the knobs aren't assigned to any pads in this scene. Manual's p25 tells you how to assign knobs to pads (this is done in SETTINGS mode).
Failng that, try a MIDI monitor utility to see if anything is being sent by the knobs. When using shortcuts mode as described on p19 (outside of SETTINGS mode), there's no lights or indication on the PK when you change something, but it does/should work.

Thanks for your help. Its the shortcuts mode as described on p19 of the Manual that appears not to be working, but I will have another go.awol wrote:Perhaps the knob isn't sending anything because the knobs aren't assigned to any pads in this scene.
