taktile 49 & global keyboard settings

Post by tonyvoid »

So here is my deal;
I had no problem setting up the 8 sliders on the Taktile to control the volume levels on the 8 corresponding midi channels of my E-Mu Proteus sound module....
... but the keyboard only transits note information to one channel at a time.
I tried going into the global setting for the keyboard and setting it to global but it only allows me to select channels 1-16. Well it does "give" me the option of selecting global but immediately reverts to channel 1 (or whatever channel I had previously selected).
What I ultimately want is to play the keys globally across all channels and fade the levels of each in on the fly. I have no problem doing this with my old M-Audio keyboard.
So does the Taktile not transmit into multi this way?

Perhaps I phrased my question too vaguely. I'll try again.

Do any Taktile users have any problems using the keyboard to control more than 1 midi channel at a time?
