I'm not sure if there's a way around this, but in my creative work flow I typically use the Korg PA 600's Sequencer to create the initial MIDI file. Then when it is close to finished I will bring it into the Song Book then add Markers (e.g., Intro, Verse, Chorus, etc.)
The problem I think I'm seeing (Korg PA600, OS 1.26 I believe) is that when I find I want to make edits to that MIDI file in the PA's Sequencer, the Save operation seems to blow away all my marker settings that were created to the MIDI file in the Song Book (I could be wrong about this...maybe I'm simply missing something)
So am I to assume that any MIDI File referenced in the Song Book should basically be regarded as read only and that if/when I make edits to the MIDI file I should expect to re-create all those Markers again?
(I'm very new to my Korg PA 600 so apologies if any of my terminology or conceptions are inaccurate)
Markers created in SongBook are deleted when MIDI File saved

Songbook is not saving anything directly to midi file or style.
Songbook just create own entries, means store which midi file and custom parameters, in simple words in Songbook you can store same midi file with different Markers, tempo or other available and this not effecting directly to midi files.
when you play you midi from songbook, yours markers should be there.
If you wanna permanently save Markers to midi, you need to do in song play mode.

Ah, thanks for your insight! I have a good deal of shedding still to do on this instrument but it's great to know how powerful and thought-out the features are.
