I have a NI Komplete Audio 6, Mix12FX 12 channel Mixer, and of course my korg volca.
I can't seem to get it connected at all. i have all the cables i think i need.
i no i sound stupid but i can't get it set up from wiring it all together, to having able to working within logic itself.
can anyone help?
How do i set up Korg Volca?

Which Volca.
If it's one of the Mono ones (all except Sample) then use one of these cables:

Run it from the audio out (headphone jack) of your Volca and then put JUST ONE of the 1/4 inch jacks into Input 1 on NI Komplete Audio.
If you're using the Sample (which outputs a stereo signal), then use the same cable, but put both of the 1/4 inch jacks into the two audio inputs on your soundcard - thus making sure you get both stereo channels recorded.
If you want, you can put the mixer in the middle of that chain, but unless you have a good reason, I'd keep it simple.
Hope this helps.

I use Cubase, so I don't know the exact routine in Logic, but I imagine it would be similar. ..
So first i create an audio track and make sure the input is "input 1" from my soundcard (assuming that's where my volca is plugged in)
Then I arm it to record. In Cubase this involves hitting a red circle symbol. I also need to activate 'monitoring' on the channel, so I can hear the input. This involves hitting a button with a speaker symbol on it.
After that I should hear the volca audio coming in and see the meters rising and falling.
Then, when I'm ready, I just hit record on the transport bar, start the sequence running on my Volca and it should start capturing the audio as it is played in.
Hope this helps a bit . Take some time with the DAW manual and get familiar with the controls. I'm guessing it will be a bit different in Logic than in Cubase.
