Set List Slot colors
Set List Slot colors are great. One issue I have with them is the color of the text font color. It appears to default to white. When using a color such as "rose" the text is difficult to read especially in live performance applications. I have found in other applications I use that allow colors for the text background/foreground, using the complimentary color (background green, text in red) really make the text stand out. Maybe we can get text color in a next OS update?

I'm just getting back from practice where my Kronos had to do the unexpected duty of playing drummer because the human couldn't make it...
Back at home, I set everything back up and set up the Kronos back to Set List mode with the different colors...sitting back in the studio just admiring the keys... good feeling w/ those colors. I'm also hoping for more colors with future updates.
For now, I'm happy with what I've got. A good holiday feeling... best to all for 2015!

It seems obvious that on a light background, black text is easier to read than light text. And in fact, black on white is easier to read than white on black. With so much criticism on set list readability over all these years, and the improvements they did make, I'm surprised they never thought about adding an option for dark text on a light background.
But also, I think the set list slots just have too much information in them. During live performance, when access needs to be as quick as possible, all I need to see is a patch name. I don't need to know which engine it used, or what its program bank or number is. I think all that stuff in the current display should only be shown when you hit the Edit tab. For performance, I want an uncluttered display that just gives me my program name, as big as will fit. Heck, even if it had to be the same size, if we were at least able to hide the other irrelevant info, it would help for quick readability.
I'd also like to see an option where you could choose fewer slots on screen for the purpose of making each slot (and its text) bigger, rather than only for the purpose of providing a larger notes area. An option for 8 large slots that take up the same screen space as the existing 16 slots in order to make them that much larger could be useful, assuming that would allow for the use of larger type as well. Right now, I'm thinking of maybe trying the 8-slot arrangement, and using the Notes area to list in big print what's in those 8 slots, and putting that same note into each of the 8 slots! (The issue is worse in some situations than others... for example, if the Kronos is on a tier above a deep board, or if you're outdoors.)
As long as I'm on the subject, there's a big unused area between the Play and Edit tabs (on the lower left) and the Control Surface tab (on the lower right)... it would be nice to be able to use that space for tabs that could instantly navigate you to specified set list pages (so you could, for example, go from your first set list page to your fifth without hitting forward four times). If you could name the tabs so much the better. It looks like they could easily fit 8 tabs there, with two line names (like the "control surface" tab), so you could instantly navigate to any of the 8 pages. It would be a nice enhancement especially for the 16-slot page arrangement, since you could get from any of your 128 sounds to any other one in no more than two screen presses! (If you use one of the sub-16 slot arrangements, it could still be useful to provide this kind of instant access to 8 pages at a time, or if that gets too complicated, this feature could at least initially be limited to the 16-slot arrangement.)
