tempo change in songs after saved!

Post by mamoods@hotmail.com »

hi! i own a pa3x and i really need to change the tempo speed on some of the songs that i have created in the sequencer. can someone tell me if it's all possible to do that and if it is, how? thank you in advance!

ps: i tried editing but when i start the song from beginning, it goes back to the original tempo that was recorded.

All you need to do is when you change Tempo in Style Play Mode (not Record) from page menu click on Write Current Style Setting.
If this is Factory Style you must unlock Factory Style Protection in Global.

Are you talking about a Midi file in the sequencer mode?

well, if this is in SEQUENCER Mode you need save as new song.
Open this song, change tempo, then save song, but don't overwrite, save as second, new song..... then you can delete original if you like it. :)

thank you Nemik! now i learned how to change the tempo on a factory style, but i still need to know if i can change the tempo on a song that has already been recorded, write the tempo change in the memory so when i play the song, i don't have to change it every time i go to zero point in the song. thank you!

For some reason if you just edit and change tempo Korg won't save it.
I didn't figure out why yet, but I know a trick :)

1. Open Record New Style.
2. Set Tempo.
3. go to Menu, then Style Edit.
4. go to Copy from Style.
5. click Select and find Style you want to have different Tempo.
6. From E/CV and To E/CV leave on ALL.
7. set From Track to All and hit Execute.
8. confirm: Are you sure ---> OK
9. from page menu select Write Style, then find empty location, set new name and exit Record Mode .

Now you have same Style, but new Tempo.
