PA4X Factory Resources-Problem Resolved
Anyone know where to download the PA4X Factory Resources?
I installed OS v1.20 today on my brand new PA4X and I think the
DNC sounds are now missing.
Thanks

There is no separate "factory resources" download you must perform a factory restore after the OS upgrade as per the PDF instructions and all will work fine.

Hope this helpsPage 2 of PA4X OS update document wrote:Loading the Musical Resources
(Factory Restore)
Loading the Operating System may also update the Musical
Resources (Sounds, Styles…). This type of data is not
actually updated until you execute a Factory Restore. The
need for a Factory Restore is indicated in the documents
accompanying the Operating System.
Warning: Executing a Factory Restore will delete all User
data and all custom Factory data (if any). See the “Making a
safety copy of your data” section above for instructions on
how to make a safety copy of your data.

Hammer,
Glad to hear you got your unit and you're on your way. I've been dragging my feet on jumping on the upgrade for no particular reason, but I guess it's time. I've seen the lights above the joy stick going on & off, so it's clear to me they are automated, at least to some degree.
Was it difficult to do a factory restore?

Deane, not sure you have checked but there's a tab called Legacy voices you can find plenty of DNC voices there.hammer wrote:I did the factory restore and things are much better but I am still not seeing any "DNC" in sound names. Maybe Korg is no longer using "DNC" in the names.

Deane, I may be over your way for a day or two very soon. Have to visit the repair shop in Dallas soon. Maybe we can get together and compare our tools.
Tools OF THE TRADE!
BTW a lot of the guitar sounds are named DNC--Strats, Les Pauls, Teles, etc.
When the screen is on the Volume Display, touch the lead sound icon twice and that will open up the library of sounds. It will show what sound is being used, let you change it, etc.
There are also lots of DNC Saxes.
