ES2 export all samples stuck at 98% - can't find samples

Post by headhunter242 »

Sampled a voice sample for the first since updating the firmware and when I exported all samples it became stuck at 98% and wouldn't turn off. I was using batteries which I never do but had to remove a battery just to get it to respond. It wiped all the patterns and sample data. I was able to restore pattern data but I cannot seem to get it to load my samples. The samples I imported from a SD card are still on the card but everything else isn't showing up. I get a "Error - Format Error" when trying to load samples now.

I'm screwed, aren't I? If so, I think I'm done with the Electribe.

After. Since then, some weird happenings had with the factory samples. After I found out everything but the synth sounds were wiped, I was able to load the factory samples but did not save them, turned off electribe, then back to zero samples, then I couldn't get them to load again. I think it's because afterwards I Exported All Samples when there was nothing on the ES2?

Either way..... I had almost filled up the 250 patterns and I now have started all over! In a weird way, it was kind of a blessing in disguise. I'm bummed that a year's worth of samples are lost but I was running out of space previously and still had a load of factory samples that needed to be deleted. Sooo I now have 260 seconds of time after loading drum sounds I actually want. Exporting works fine....for now. I do miss my 1950's horror movie samples though. :<

Huge credit to MusicRadar for their thousands and thousands of free samples. http://www.musicradar.com/news/tech/fre ... tis-627820 (FYI most are stereo)

Currently trying to figure out how to get 1500 for the new Pioneer Toraiz.[/url]

exactly the same thing happened factory samples gone just patterns and synth parts left; but a blessing in disguise as am now loading in my own drums and will start adding my own samples. after almost 8 months of ownership.

But I did record my patterns with the factory samples before the update

Yes, I'm sure most people know this already but let this post be a PSA! Back everything up regularly!

Just lost 2 sets of samples I did on the ES2. I did the 'export all...', which finished, but then I accidentally hit it again. Promptly canceled it and (incorrectly) assumed my first export had saved my samples. Booted back in later and found I had lost an hour's worth of sampling as well as the samples I had recorded in a previous session. Something to be careful about. Still was fun.
