Sound issue Electribe 2 on Focusrite Scarlett 2i4

Hi there,

Just bought a Korg Electribe 2 and enjoying it so far!

However, I am experiencing some issue when connecting the Electribe to my USB audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4).
I am using the Electribe audio outputs with standard instrument jack (brand new) connected to one of the line/inst inputs of the sound card. Out from the Scarlett the sound is going to 2 KRK active speakers.

The issue is that the sound I hear playing from the Electribe is very weak, and its quality is poor. If I connect any kind of instruments or just my laptop to the same line in entries I don't have any problem and the sound is perfect.
If I connect my Electribe direct to the speakers using the headphone output, the sound is great too. But obviously I need to use the synth with the sound card.

Does anyone knows this problem and the way to solve it?

have you connected both L & R outputs of the electribe separately? the scarlett's inputs are mono.
