Korg Minilogue Update 1.21 Error

Post by JayDremin »

Hi, there!
When I tried to update my new Minilogue in the middle of the process error occurred.
Probably because I did not immediately set new KORG USB - MIDI driver on my MAC.
Now when I turn on the synthesizer, there is an inscription: "tep Lengh LOBAL 31] IN UI 1" and it totally not working.

Now I install new driver on my computer, but I cant make a repeatedly update, because the program "KORG System Updater" writes: "Software Version 1.21(Up To Date)" and Update Knob are disabled.

Restoring the factory settings like in User Manual is not working too.

Please help me, friends!
Or may be you can give me Korg support email?

Hi,

:(

Restoring factory settings will not work, because that will typically only set back the original patches and definitely not the previous SW version.

The fact that you got an error during the upgrade, makes me think that only part of the firmware is upgraded. That is why you get the strange message on the screen and why it locks but claims version 1.21. It surprises me a bit. I would think there is a firmware check implemented and the board falls back to a bootloader when an upgrade fails and a corrupt firmware is in its flash.

A downgrade to get the System updater starting?
Maybe Korg itself can give some hidden key combination to get the board in service mode. Anyway, you may contact your Korg dealer.

Good luck!

Thank you!
If someone meet this problem, it is solved very simply:
Korg System Updater => Options => Force Update Mode
