korg electribe noise my work around

Post by colonel5.2 »

Regarding the noisy nature of these devices,

My electribe is noisy,

Heaphone ouput is noisy

Audio in thru is noisy but noise does not seem to be picked up in the sample so i can live with it.

Here is what i found though: My main ouputs L and R are also noisy but the noise is significantly reduced if i turn it up to full volume and if i turn it down there is a point where it comes back.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative power supple, i read that there may be an alternative korg powersupple with a seperate block and i thought maybe this would reduce some of the noise.

Has anyone else expierienced this with the main outputs

I saw a post on the FB Electribe 2 group saying a ferrite choke would remove the noise. Haven't tried it, but haven't really heard the noise tbh. Maybe my hearing is shot, lol.

Here's a link to one if you wanna try: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KLVUQ38?psc=1

No, that doesn't work (at least for me, grey E2S). Full volume on HP output or main output (L/R) just makes the noise louder...

This also doesn't work, because the noise doesn't come from the power adaptor. It's an internal problem (still there if you just use batteries).

anyone try a ground lift?

usually noises is caused from bad ground or improperly shielded wiring/speakers. or both.
