Back up New PA4X

Post by SolMan »

I've downloaded and reread the Korg Quick Guide while awaiting delivery of my PA4X 76 key from Audioworks. I do not recall seeing anything about doing a system back-up before starting to use the unit. I even tried a search on the file. Is this no longer necessary? Thanks

Hi SolMan

If you want to perform a backup of factory data then yes you can still do it MEDIA>>Utility>>FULL Resource Backup (.BKP file)
(FYI - page 911 in the latest version of the manual)

If there is USER-TYPE-DATA (like STYLES/SOUNDS/SONGBOOK etc) that you want to save to disk then a normal ".SET" backup will suffice (MEDIA>>SAVE...etc...)

Cheers

Pete :D

P.S. Get yourself a copy of the PA4X User Manual:-

Thanks Pete.

I was waiting on looking though the "Big Book" until I had my board in front of me. I just downloaded the Korg PA4X User Manual and sure enough a search pulled up several references to "backup" which I will put to good use.
I do appreciate your response and the link to the full manual.
