Today i have been toying around with the Midi to Style conversion on my new pa4x..
Offcourse with varying results...
A midi file from hotel California, yielded great results, the first 2 variations where good enough to make for a good cover from this good old eagles hit..
However other midi files required quite some edditing, to get something usefull
And now my question... do you guys edit the midi file before converting it? I.e. Do you make the midi file sound as good as possible on the pa4x before converting it..
Or do you do all edditing after the conversion?

I strongly suggest that you edit afterwards. Since this feature does NOT accept any user input (yet), it will do whatever it wants to do regardless. I even tried to remove useless parts from a midi to see if it can help the Pa4x to make a better decision as far as cutting various elements, but it didn't help at all.
I'd say go ahead and convert first. Then depending on the results you can decide whether or not this style has a potential to be edited or expanded.
