Review on the MatrixBrute

Post by phattbuzz »

I've done a review on the MatrixBrute on musicplayer.com's keyboard corner. If you have any questions, try posting there first. But if you can't, you can always reach me on this forum.

Hows the MbX ?
Planning of buying one next month.
Now you have had it a while, is it still doing it for you?

How are the Sine waves. Any smooth tones possible.

Cheers

It's a pretty smooth synth really, not like the mini brutes at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEHt7G9w488

Best synth I have purchased in a while, you won't be disappointed.

I watched a video of someone trying to create a ratcheting sequence and was blown away by the sound of the MatrixBrute. Nothing like the other 'Brutes and more like a Moog or (dare I say it) a modular. I don't want to use my MiniBrute now, I want to sell it and save the rest of the funds for the MatrixBrute (or the beginnings of a modular with a Waldorf wavetable osc at it's heart).
Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here
