HI there everyone,
I bought a Korg Pa4x Oriental, not MG edition, and I have my trusty Pa500ORT.
What I would like to do is try to set up the behaviours of the 4x to the same of my PA500ORT...and one of those things is to be able to change the quarter tone scales of the 4x from my 500ORT's hard buttons. Someone told me they have seen it work, via midi cables, but not exactly sure how.
This would be in the case of having both keyboards together on stage, and while performing, make the scale changes on the 500ORT's hard button scales, and the 4xOrt reading it and making those same changes itself without me having to go into the menu and change it.
I am not interested in purchasing the quarter tone scale box from Kelfar or anything similar, so please let me know if this is possible and how to do so. Thank you.

Hi,
I never had the Pa500ORT, but i'll try to answer,
I'm pretty sur the hard button scale operation, is something internal, and there is no midi data sent outside when you activate them, but i could be wrong, so, the best thing to do is to connect your Pa500ORT with a PC, and see if somthing happen through a midi monitor program.

Did you try? If so, what was the result?mlogical wrote:Hi,
That's a good idea to check. I want to use the hard buttons of the 500ort to control both keyboards' scale simultaneously but have yet to find a way, so you may be right. I will keep trying.
If anyone else has any helpful information, please don't hesitate to post. Thanks Laurance.
