The E2 & E2S will record glide from an external midi source. Simply record data using midi cc 81. I did it using ableton live. I assume you could do the same with an assignable midi controller or even an iPad if you want.

I know this has been covered in various ways but I think I've found a new one. Currently the OS does not let you record motion sequences on the glide parameter without 'hacks'. Here is another one:
