pa4x into a mono guitar amp

Does anyone know how or if I can output my pa4x to a guitar amp (mono)
I can only find stereo L and R output jacks?

Simple reply is yes. Although for best playback results you should cable up to a sound monitoring system that has two inputs and separates the sound into a stereo field to get the best sound results. That being said, you will be able to hear the keyboard fine by just using one cable (either left or right output); it just will not be the best way soundwise.

Thanks for that Nitecrawler,
I've been trying to avoid the expense of the paAS speaker/amp system as I have three of my old guitar amps here. Fender, Gallien Kruger and Roland Bass Cube and a set of Audio Engine powered Hi Fi speakers but they all sound crap compared to my ancient Sennheiser headphones. I love a crisp clear sound without muddied bass.

From what I can glean of the Forum, the paAS are very bright and clear which is probably what I am looking for.

My keyboard i in my living room, so I don't want power cables and speaker wires everywhere ...... and I way too old to worry about ever gigging again but I must have crisp clear sound with no soggy bass.

I'm loving this keyboard but in absolute awe of its complexity. Guitar playing 30 years ago was never like this. I feel alive again trying to come to grips with this beast.

Either one of the main stereo outs on the PA4X can be used on it's own to provide a mono signal to connect a mono input of an amp, combo, PA system or mixer etc. The sound will be fine but (obviously) not Stereo which in Live situations is no big deal because most of the audience will not benefit from the stereo effect anyway. It is most likely that most live performers work in mono, stereo sounds great to the player when he is positioned centre of the virtual stage but in reality it is usually of no benefit to the audience unless they too are situated near centre of the stereo field. The quality of sound is the same but you will lose the effects of panning when in mono, nothing important to the music.

I think you will loose most of what makes the pa4x sound so good... guitar amps are far from a linear ampalification, which is required to catch the whole sound spectrum of an arrnger key..

Guitar amps are made to sound good in the frequincy of a guitar..

You are better of buying a chaaper keyboard and some studio monitors for home and a pa for on stage..

A guitar amp is just not a good setup for the PA4x.. its frequency response is not linear, and it is prone to distortion.
Your GK bass amp may well get into a flat response and would be better than any guitar amp, but without a doubt you are far better off buying a low cost pair of studio monitors and enjoying everything the PA4x has to offer in terms of sound quality

I have the paspeaker system attached to the keyboard and am very happy with it. I have read different views on the system in this forum ,but I am happy. I am only a hobbiest and not a pureist.
