piano only
Hello
Why when you play the piano only over time the sound goes out ..... does not have brightness and sounds serious?

Re: piano only
I think you may find that it's your ears that are fading, are you listening at high volume level? If so, your ears will become less responsive to the highs and hi-mid frequencies a natural phenomena. Rest you ears for a while and they will be restored, it's why mix engineers take frequent breaks to avoid ear fatique affecting their mixes.antares7 wrote:Hello

Re: piano only
He probably means that under holded sustain pedal , piano notes are stealing previous ones and this a pure polyphony issue ,antares7 wrote:Hello

since pianos are consisted from multiple OSC with consequence the limited polyphony !
But what a pity , at least 1 GB of factory multi velocity layers with piano samples with "zero" results and no one of them are
close either to Steinway nor to Fazioli ...
The only piano that Korg has made so far that is close to 50% of a real piano , is the German GRD of kronos , nothing else !
I don't know why they do not delegate this task to an expertised sound developer and pianist who deals with the real thing ...
Anyway , I think pianists are aware of WavesArt Pianos http://wavesart.eu/Pa3XSoundLibraries

Anthony,s Guitars and Pianos are realistic sounding, It,s the best i have found on the net, And i can recomend this sounds.
Korg Guitars are also realy god, just try to tweak them whit some better FX and Ad an EQ on it.
If it,s stil not , than Contact Anthony, or try to convert Sf2 Guitars free on the net,

Hi Guys,
Firstly I'm no expert, (not even a pro-player) but the reason I was attracted to the PA4X (and to sell my Tyros 5) was the quality and quantity of the sounds on board.
I certainly would not want to go head to head in a disagreement with Anthony Sharmman but for me the pianos are very good. We are talking about an arranger keyboard here (albeit the top of the range) and it's grand piano is a vast improvement over the Tyros 5 grand piano sound.
I have my PA4X connected up to a set of Q.Acoustic Concept 20 speakers (on stands) and a Wharfedale SW150 subwoofer. This is powered by a Denon AV Receiver (set to direct). This setup is powerful for home use, and the quality of the system squeezes every last drop of detail from the PA4X sounds. I'm also able to play the lower section sounds through an 88 note weighted piano keyboard which helps when playing piano and E.piano sounds.
Rob, I would be interested to know what system you use to play your PA4X through. Maybe that could be the reason why you find the pianos and guitars a bit of a letdown.
To get a major improvement in realism, I assume you would have to go down the VST route. please correct me if I am wrong on that.
Chris
p.s. As a Christmas stocking filler, my two boys bought me the 'Ravenscroft 275' piano samples. Six months on and it they have not been used yet. Got plenty of good ones in the PA4X.

Tyros do not have the keybed infrastructure to play a piano sound and can be heard as a real piano , but Pa3/4X have it , with a reallychelsea4023 wrote:for me the pianos are very good. nice semi-weighted keybed !
Had you ever tried to play Tyros 5 piano with external midi weighted keybed ? If not try it sometime and tell us your impressions then !
Sorry to say it , but only a pianist that owns and plays a good natural grand piano can really feel what I mean regardless of Sound System ...
On the other hand , yes it's an arranger , at year 2000 we might not be so demanding with MBs of Rom Libraries but in year 2017 with
streaming from disk feature and when 1,5 Gb of Rom samples are exclussively used for Pianos emulation in Pa4X ...
Yes we definately expect better results , and believe me , this samples size provides all prerequisites to create a VST like piano in the
world's best and featured keyboard sampler engine that Pa4X contains !
For instance this 1,2 GB piano of WavesArt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMNzeS9Tqw4 is made for the really weak HD1 engine
of Kronos (compared to pa4X) and even in loudspeakers of a small laptop , this can be heard as a real piano !
BTW : Timur thanks for your kind words !
