Pa3X FACTORY STYLES

Hello

I have just upgraded to Pa4X and sold my Pa3X. There are a few factory styles in Pa3X which I really liked but unfortunately when I made a backup set of the Pa3X the factory styles were not copied.

How can I get the Pa3X factory styles? I also have a full resource back up of the Pa3X, but I am not sure if that is useful.

Shall appreciate if someone can help.

Thank you for your prompt help. I have successfully downloaded the styles.

I have another question?

How can I use these styles as a direct set ? Shall I simply rename the files in the .set folder ? e.g bank01.sty to fav01.sty ?

Please advise.

...I think that should work OK - make sure you spell the "bank" names correctly e.g. FAVORITE01

Note that the PA4X does not recognise the same quantity of FAVORITE banks

Does anyone has list ot those styles from pa3x which are not included in pa4x?
Mayby someone poses such SET (only selected styles?)

To be honest, I wonder why Korg didn't implement all styles from deprecated Korg pa3x?

You can compare the style list in the manuals but some styles with the same name are in fact different.
So unfortunately it's a case of working through them.
Often, if there's an "older" style that I like and want to continue to use, I then check the PA4X factory styles to see if it is already there/improved/similar.

To be honest, I wonder why Korg didn't implement all styles from deprecated Korg pa3x?

....and from PA2x,PA800,PA588.PA1X,i30,i3 etc....???

Korg give you the option to import every one of those styles.

Many PA4X styles are new and many "re-mastered" (for want of a better word)

Dear Pete,

I tried to renamed the files and copied/replaced in the style folder of a direct set. However, when I use the direct set the renamed banks are empty ?

Seems this will not work ?

Any ideas

They must be changed to FAVORITEnn or USERnn banks and NOT BANK01/02/03 etc (those are only factory bank names)

I might try this later for you in case for some obscure reason it would not work!!
