Questions about sequencer

Just a quick question . How do the insert effects work when recording tracks ( multi track ) into the sequencer . Is it the same as the Pa1x ?

When recording using quick mode in the sequencer are the same type of effects available as the multi track recording mode ?

I am just about to upgrade and would like to know if the sequencer itself has been upgraded compared to my old trusty pa1x
